We are blessed to live on this fantastic planet. Other life forms and future generations deserve to enjoy life on Earth just as we have. To protect the environment and the oceans, we try to reduce packaging as much as possible. We aren't perfect, but we are working on solutions to improve every day.
We don't want to send product in plastic tubs and containers with plastic seals – all of which further add to the accumulation of plastics in our waterways. The large polypropylene plastic tubs typically used in vitamin and protein packaging take up space and turn into microplastics when they break apart in the ocean.
Polypropylene packaging is not widely recyclable. Scientists are working on solutions to reduce the environmental impact. Unfortunately, just because it's in the recycling bin doesn't mean our footprint goes to zero.
Our shipping bag is recyclable and takes up very little space in your bin or house. For smaller orders, we've opted for this material to reduce the amount of packaging you receive.
We love our shipping box. We use non-bleached paperboard. The simple and durable box can be used for many things. Instead of storing items at home in plastic tubs, you can use this cardboard box! We ask that you don't throw it away. Reuse it. But, if you dispose of it, it's just cardboard! Not bleached or treated, it's biodegradable and easily recycled.
A vegan diet has been shown to be the most beneficial change we can make, as individuals, for the planet. Eating predominantly plants reduces your carbon footprint up to 73 percent. Even if you're not 100% vegan, making efforts to reduce the amount of animal products you consume will benefit you and the environment!
I've dabbled in protein powders in the past but they were so chalky and I just didn't keep using it. The Uplift plant protein is smooth so I actually enjoy drinking it.
